Another solution would be an application along the lines of "Timbuktu" or MS remote desktop client (similar to the well advertised PC product "Go To My PC")

Bang, several problems solved at once:
- You don't need to run Virtual PC
• you can run PC applications at normal speed (except perhaps graphics intensive apps like games)
• PC applications will be 100% compatible since they are running on a PC (duh)
- You don't need a KVM switch or multiple monitors/keyboards
- You can copy/paste between computers and copy files as well.
- You can run & monitor programs on both machines at the same time

DIsadvantages:
- Lose the virtual PC advantage of being able to store multiple versions of your PC
- Timbuktu costs around $200 (but the other product remote desktop is free)
- might not work with certain firewalls.

There is a free solution available from Microsoft, but works only with server versions or XP professional and the PC must be running computer must be running Terminal Services or Remote Desktop Services.
