If T-Mobile is unwilling to sell unlocked phones, you
can search for one on E-Bay, where they sell for about $23 more
than that (plus shipping).

A T-Mobile - To Go SIM card and activation kit (with $15 worth of minutes, for 60 days of service ) can be purchased through them,
but these items are much cheaper from some of the Ebay vendors.

I chose the Ebay route. The To Go service is also cheaper
than Cingular's Go-Phone service.(and the minutes increase
by 15% , and extend out to one year), after you have purchased more than $100 worth of minutes
Check each web site.

See one search result..
