WH, of all the internet stocks, i would buy yoohoo first and foremost and i thought about stepping to the plate in the 40's and 30's. good thing i haven't. i understand yoohoo has an advertising model, but (and you'll think i'm monkeying around with you) when George Costanza on seinfeld said the internet was really only much good for porn and stock quotes, i think he was kind of on the money. the stock quote biz is not good now, as you know the gamblers who'd key into yoohoo for quotes 100 times a day are losin' their shirts. there is no doubt advertising is down and there is no doubt many e-commerce companies are going to fail (and therefore not advertise). who will, for eg. replace etys advertising if they go under ? who will finance another etys ?

WH, lots of terrific industries have not been (overly) profitable for the investor. perhaps the internet is one of them. i'm not sure you are open minded enough to see that this just might not work out from an investor standpoint.
And remember too, yoohoo and the like got to their peaks during a mania, during a time of financial engineering (stocks do not stay high long term due to short squeezes), small floats, and in an era where just losing less than last quarter was rewarded. What will yoo hoo have to earn to justify $ 250 again (or more) ? Do you think they can even earn a solid $ 10 a share ?
