This will not answer your questions, but is just a comment.

Neither one of the quotes you presented was from the actual ruling handed down. Both were statements issued by the respective companies, each favoring their own side (I realize the TTRIF statement was an internal memo).

I suggest an examination of the actual court ruling would be the quickest route the truth here.

Any Vancouverites out there who can help out?
