I really liked Bill Clinton in some ways. First of all, I completely supported NAFTA and the whole free trade agenda that followed. And he reduced military spending by a tremendous amount of money. Sure, he had a hawkish side to him and that came out in the war on Yugoslovia. And It did not phase me in the least whether he had sex or not with Monica Lewinsky. ( I thought it was sex). I have always thought of my self as being eclectic politically: pro business, pro free trade, for single payer universal healthcare, free college tuition option for middle income families. I have always believed in government regulation of big oil and big pharma. A laissez- faire attitude toward big pharma kills people and I put people ahead of profits. Moreover, defense outlays are outrageous and need to be scaled back at least 50%. No President is perfect and is going to support everything I stand for. I have always been a dove. But Bill Clinton did some good things.
