MPEG Gator..... darvision.com The MPEGator USB is based on the versatile C-Cube Microsystems CLM-4111 chip. This chip is capable to carry out all required image compression and motion estimation tasks during real time video digitizing thus enabling the design of very low cost, compact MPEG1 video compression hardware. Simultaneous synchronous real time audio compression is performed using MPEG audio encoding DSP chip. MPEGator USB can capture up to SIF resolution video and stereo audio and produce separate MPEG video, audio or system layer (synchronized video/audio) files in real time. For Internet applications MPEGator USB can capture suitable low resolution, low bitrate MPEG clips.
