Thanks for your encouragement, Shalom. Since I've been doing pretty good on the exercise lately it's probably approporiate for me to take a closer look at what I'm eating. We've always tried to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables and breads. Eliminating more fats would probably be as easy as getting rid of the some of the "quick" foods.

May encourage my wife if I can to take the supplements or drink the fortified orange juice & less milk (she drinks the 2%).

What about fats from vegetables? I've got this weakness for avocados and chips? Really bad weakness, huh? Avoocados are mostly fat I think.

Adding more fish is not a problem for me - I love it.

Sorry, didn't mean to turn the thread into "nutrition central."

Much that I've read says that not eating so many calories is also good -- this probably goes hand-in-hand with eating differently, less fat more complex carbs, few simple sugars.
