Tim: Some people are still using socket 7 motherboards and would rather just upgrade the CPU then replace the motherboard or buy a new system. Try finding a non-ATX motherboard for an Athlon ;-).... so... you'll need a new case if you buy a new motherboard. I still have a K6-2/300 running and wouldn't mind buying a 500MHz or so K6-III as an upgrade, if I could get one at a reasonable price (say $50). -fyo
