Cosmic ray health alert time again. Earth's getting another heavy dose.

For some geophysical systems, the effects are cumulative.

Over the last few cycles, sunspot maximums have trended solidly lower. Sunspot minimums have gone lower each time as well.

Anyone familiar with a 200 day moving average will understand what that means as far as cumulative effects go. The 200 dMA of cosmic ray flux has been making new highs every day for years now.
