OT politics again.... While we are waiting for AMAT stock price to go to 60 or 35, the direction at the moment being somewhat unclear, we may as well discuss the political viewpoints of the various thread posters.

In College one of my most interesting political science professors said that the history of politics was for the most part a study of men doing stupid things.

Going back to the reconstruction era to the present there are two themes in all political scandals. One is SEX and the other is MONEY.

If you look at every Democratic Scandal there was usually a pretty woman involved , that was not married to the culprit (read Democrat) whole secretarial skills were marginal, but salary (gov. payroll) was very high.

If You look at every Republican scandal what you are likely to find is an already wealthy Republican trying to skim some more cream off ($$$$) some government program directly or indirectly.

When Heuy Long (the Kingfisher) said, "the only way I'm going to lose this election is if I'm caught in bed with a live boy or dead woman" he knew what he was taking about. Sin and Sex would be his downfall.

I poke fun of both parties because both have a lot of serious men doing a lot of stupid things.
