That's a valid point, but there's also something to be said for the evolutionary principle of survival of the fittest. Anyone who buys and sells on Silicon Investor rumors might as well be throwing darts at the financial pages. Dart-throwing isn't necessarily a bad strategy, but at least its adherents don't blame the darts when they lose.

That's especially true in the case of Joseph's rumor, where he said the stock was HALTED, meaning that nobody could have reacted to the rumor!
