Ali, Some time ago it was estimated that the slot 1 had a $30 price premium over socket based products. With the zifs now just a few dollars in quantity I think they will be lower in cost. The debug scenarios you envisage are quite valid and will have their costs and fatalities at all levels. I suspect intel will give away a schematic and preferred layout, if only to let the 370 hit the ground running. Will proprietary schemes by Intel fail?, seems so. Bill
