MUEI warns... dailynews.yahoo.com "Micron Electronics said many of its customers are deferring PC purchases in anticipation of Intel Corp.'s new Pentium III processor." I'm not buying this, so to speak. Intel comes out with new processors and/or new speeds a couple of times a year, and this is the first time it's been used as an excuse for poor sales. That one-time cost to shut down Japan has risen from $3.2M to a surprisingly less-precise "about $4M", which would be a hit of 4 cents per share. MUEI will announce earnings March 22, which is after option expiration. I don't think MU has ever announced before MUEI, so let's be on the lookout for more than the usual amount of absurdity going into option expiration week.
