What defense? Where do you see defense? And funny you should mention American prisons. I was just typing this when I saw your message in my inbox:

Let me remind the assembled of an incident that indicates that the cesspool in the Iraq prisons did not occur out of a moral vacuum.

Recall the days at the height of the California energy crisis when the Attorney General of California made a joke about wanting to get the head of Enron into prison so he could be bunk buddies with a guy called bubba. No outrage, no demands for an apology, not even any criticism. Just a lot of amused smirks.

The amazing thing is that anyone is amazed that we find sexual abuse going on in a prison in Iraq. Look behind the bars of any prison in America.
