Why not simply trust the Word of God as to who is an antichrist.
After all, it is the Bible that originated the term and should be the authority in defining the term.
Look at all the religions and individuals that deny Christ
and you will find the antichrist.

As to a final individual assuming the role of "Antichrist", it is mere specualtion and not biblical. If such a personality does arise, he will surely used the multitudes of antichrist religions and individual as a basis for his kingdom. Look at the modern nation of Israel as an example. Their opposition to Jesus as a nation is encoded in their national statutes and ordinances. They are the most antichrist nation on the face of the earth today because they oppose Jesus by national decree. Where do you think they will fit in the last days?
