They need to, and will, change the cars they build.

When? They haven't done it for 50 years. There is no reason to think they will change now. Toyota, Honda, etc were working on hybrids and gas savers while the big three were begging Congress not to raise EPA mileage requirements. They [the mgmt at GM, Ford and Chrysler] are idiots........they belong with the dinosaurs.
