Letters from Nigeria or Connected to Europe Mr. Blair told that the US Congress that England was connected to Europe by a tunnel, when it is in fact connected to France. Although France is part of Europe, the symbolic link that Prime Minister Blair tried to evoke does not exist, at all. Canadians are not too surprised to learn that President Bush apparently believed in the letters in he received from Nigeria. I am very surprised that he blamed his belief on the CIA. Mr. Blair's assurance that he personally believed he would receive the $23.5 million was also a surprise.
