Kerry's war record is NOT based on his reports at all. It's based on interviews with 14 out of 16 of his crewmen who were the ONLY ones who saw him in action every day. One crewman is dead now and one and only one hates Kerry. This guy, named Gardner is a rightwing Republican who also happenes to be the only one who F'ed up bigtime and shot innocent civilians despite Kerry ordering him to cease fire. Kerry rightfully blamed the guy and he's held it against his Captain ever since. Now Rush Limbaugh and the RNC have recruited him to lie about Kerry. Probably paying him too.
