Hi all; From Infineon's presentation at today's DDR meeting:

Availability and Support
*DDR entered the Graphics Market in the end of 1999
*DRAM architectures have traditionally migrated from Graphics into the main memory applications:
-- EDO... (Frame Buffers from 1992, PCs from 1994)
-- SDRAM... (FB from 1995, PC Main Memory from 96)
-- ...and now DDR .....,
*Infineon has supplied millions of DDR SGRAMs since '99
-- 32M DDR SGRAM is organized 1Mx32
-- Speed Grades 166-200MHz -- i.e. 333-400 Mbit/s/pin
*Infineon 256M DDR SDRAM sampling now (PC200,266)
*More DDR support lining up at Infineon throughout 2000

Summary & Outlook
*DDR Infrastructure Build is now complete
*DDR "Existence Theorem" is firmly established
*DDR "Technology Crossover" is set for 2H
-- Cost has been controlled
-- Multiple vendor availability is assured
-- Market acceptance has been achieved
-- Benchmarks are in....,
-- Application use from Servers to Notebooks
-- DDR has been fine tuned to service the needs of mass manufacturing
*DDR ramps in August..., we are here to help you achieve a successful launch
