Nothing wrong with Workman's Comp as an idea, just that the current system is completely f*cked....it's riddled with fraud on the provider side, and its unavoidable inefficiencies are magnified by endless legal interventions. Injured workers need and deserved to be covered, but in most states the current system is a horrible way to do it. The lawyers need to be cut out in favor of arbitration panels, and better enforcement is needed on fraud.
