Idsky, I was just telling someone via PM that those articles threw me into a panic, because they made me feel like a newbie. I gotta lot of serious studying to do and hope someone will jump in and help us all here with the background we need.

For example, I thought (I hate to admit this) that "SoIP" stood for "SCSI over IP". It doesn't. It stands for "Storage over IP", which includes, at least, SCSI over IP and FC over IP, where there is a battle between the two in the works.

I remain convinced, however, that NTAP is architecting its next generation of products using VI to remain agnostic.
