Cisco CEO Says Aggressive Growth Outlook
Unchanged

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cisco Systems Inc. (NasdaqNM:CSCO - news)
Chief Executive John Chambers told analysts on Monday that the Internet
equipment leader stood by aggressive targets of between 50 percent and 60
percent annual revenue growth.

Seeking to ease jittery investors at a gloomy time for technology stocks,
Chambers said during an annual analyst briefing that the company was making
no change in its expectations of strong sequential and year-to-year revenue
growth set forth in its last quarterly report.

``Let me remind everyone in this room that we are not changing guidance,'' he
told analysts assembled at an all-day meeting in San Jose to discuss Cisco's
2001 market strategy. His comments were monitored via a Webcast carried on
the company's investor relations site.

However, Chambers declined to comment on how his company's business was
progressing during its current fiscal second quarter ending in January.

Chambers repeated Cisco's prior guidance of sequential quarterly revenue
growth in the high single digits to the low double digits and annual growth of
between 50 percent and 60 percent.
