It's unusual for Gold to rally with a backdrop of a soaring broad market, weak oil and natural gas, steady to firm US Dollar and no fresh world crises. These are not occurrences that entice speculative appetites and yet gold is up sharply the last three days. This points the finger toward major international buyers slowly and carefully diversifying their currency holding risks. If so, this rally may surprise a lot of people including fans of silver which hasn't done much and where sentiment has been affected by weak copper and fears of an economic contraction.
