I've owned about 10 Japanese vehicles, most that I bought with well over 100,000 miles on them already, that I've driven to around 250,000 miles, each. As used vehicles, they needed some routine maintenance, but no major repairs.
Once I get them shipshape, I just change the oil, filters and fluids and drive them to death.
I buy them for cash, carry only liability, and save myself thousands of dollars a year. They've all gotten me from A-B more efficiently and reliably than the most expensive Mercedes, and ANY American car.
Of them all, I've settled on Hondas, Nissans and Subarus as seeming the best to me, in that order. I think Toyotas are a little over rated. I wish Honda made a factory camper van. |
