Prices are going up -- fast. That will slow the economy. Is it fair to pay $3 for gas? Sure -- we probably should be paying $10 a gallon. Should people in Florida have their insurance premiums double? What the hell, whatever it takes. But all these additional expenses come at a price -- and the price is a slower economy and higher debts, for individuals and for the country as a whole.
