That fellow made some reasonable observations but his comments on Dawkins were misguided. When Dawkins said: "I will not only explain that Darwin had the right answer, but I will show that he had the only possible right answer", he did not restrict inquiry or modification of Evolutionary Science. There is a context involved. Dawkins does not need Shapiro to remind him that Science evolves! SHEEESH! Dawkins did not mean that Darwin knew all there was to know about Evolution. That would be more than silly. Dawkins is fully aware (more aware than anyone on SI I am sure) that neither Darwin nor anyone else knows a lot about Evolution. But we know that Evolution explains how life evolved and that it evolved. And that is why Darwin had it right. IBM had it right, too. Could they make a Nexus 5 phone half a century ago? No. But they still had it right. Shapiro thinks he has it right. But a century from now I doubt anyone will be interested in showing how almost every word he uttered was wrong. Science will keep drilling down into the core until we ultimately reach Nirvana--or get eaten on a kabob by an intelligent beetle weighing 2 tons.
