Someone needs to wake Steven Vines up and tell him what happened to LU (-80%), GX (-80%), T (-75%), WCOM (-75%), ADCT (-70%), NT (-70%), DT (-70%) (at their worst levels) in Y2K. Those can be considered "international telecoms", can't they? I'd also like to know what telecoms were only down 20-30% for the year?

Sorry to vent but I hate irresponsible journalism. Its bad enough that I have to put up with reading the NYTimes every day but this Vines guy is ridiculous. Please don't misinterpret my post as a defense of PCCW and its atrocious performance in Y2K.
