Carl: The 100 or so in labor cuts, I suspect, must be in the fat department, not the muscle department. I think, earlier they might have been generous enough (on humanitarian grounds :-)) to let the Electrotech admin etc. people stay, but now they must hit the road in search of other livelihood. Imho, its inconceivable to me that they will let go any of their hot shot semi engineers, physicists, and software engineers. They are all class, top, bunch of extremely talented people. (Hey, what the heck, I might just throw in here the ridiculous conjecture that, if TRKN was in the head-hunting business, the total auctioning-off of all those brains would itself fetch close to $8/share to TRKN :-)). IOW, this might be perceived as a very positive sign (to become lean) [Sad for the affected workers, but thats what market likes in general]. So, we have to keep this perspective in mind; along with the fact that, they were just listed as one of the fastest growing (I guess in the first 50, posted here earlier, right?) company in the valley. So, the growing pimple-pains are obvious.
Another view: lets just calm down, and think for a minute: Do you think the core insider doc, who wouldn't even think of selling his company for $11 (thats what the price crept up to just a few weeks ago), would let it go for less than $8, having a total inside knowledge of the provess of his technology? ... make no mistake about it, thats the only practical miracle technology out there right now for less that .20 mu!
