The particular focus of socialist regulation, btw, is the systematic confiscation and transfer of wealth. As opposed to, say, the Bush system of gangster capitalism which is rapidly transferring the wealth of the people of the United States into the offshore accounts of a handful of corporate marauders? Come on, AC, surely you can see that the direction that Bush et al are leading us is right off the edge of a cliff. They are looting the U.S. treasury, they are debasing the currency, they are getting stinking rich, and the children of America are getting the bill. Your vision of a future is a dystopian nightmare of privilege and excess for a tiny sociopathic minority of the population. There is no way in hell you can make the case that creeps like Ken Lay, Dennis Kozlowski, Jeff Skilling, Bernard Ebbers or Richard Scrushy and their ilk create wealth. What they create is a sophisticated illusion of prosperity as they loot their companies and steal our nation's future. Your hope is to create a nightmare for most sentient beings on earth. And you are proud of this?
