Was Wednesday a DEAD-CAT BOUNCE? IMO Wednesday was strictly a reaction to the rate cut. We will not see any impact on the economy for at least 6 months. Today I heard a caller on CNBC say that this downturn is the fault of Bush talking the economy down. Wonder how that can be rationalized when we are now getting reports of quarters prior to the Bush election or taking office. IMO AG went too far in 2000 and Wednesday was not enough - maybe more like 100 basis points, with more to come ASAP! The Fed needed to move not only swiftly but strongly - may have been too little, too late. Just my thoughts, Merry
