Actually i did catch a lot of Counterspin, watched probably eight hours telly in the last few days, more than the normal month ... the kurd sounded quite reasonable on looking away from the screen, but then on turning back to it, wooo ... they could have given him his own little inset screen so he could be a 'talking head' -g- .... agreed on Salutin, more peacenik than me for sure, still he made some good points that no one else was making
Thing that got me, is that no one brings up the core issue, the concentration of all power in so few hands in Washington ..... Salutin came closest, pointing out that these hands are not subject to accountability, then somebody took the discussion off elsewhere
But that threat against us in re lumber, yes, how blatantly coercive .... 'help us eliminate any check to absolute power by our jefes and we may consider slowing down the destruction of your forestry communities' .... geez, it's like this guy thinks we aren't familiar with the story, figures he can con us, that we don't know the current pine lobby assault started long before the WTC came down, and was intensifying while the rubble was still smoking .... also it was implicit in something he said, that the US is the sole victim of terrorism, well not so, we too lost people that day .... we could go machine-gun millions for the glory of the empire and it would not help a bit until it enriched the pine lobby, our only hope is to make the public there aware of the issue, they're getting screwed along with us |
