Bush just cut alternative fuel tax credit request saying we can't afford it. He made the speech to sound like a moderate then quietly pulled it off the table afterward. Got a nice photo op to try and hide the obvious, that he's anti-environment. Standard Bush practice. He was up in New York getting a photo op with a group of little black kids who were there on a Federal Program for education. Hugged the little black kids, made a few words about how successful the program was, partnership between Federal Government and local programs, yada, yada, yada. Slipped back to Washington and promptly cut the entire funding for the program without a word. Every time I see Bush with his baseball cap, I now ask, What did he do now?. If he shows up at a national park for a photo op, you can bet money he just made someone in industry happy and ticked off the people that are concerned about the environment. jttmab
