I once heard a guy say, that he had pirate copies of all new movies as soon as they are released. However, he didn't bother to watch them before the movies were released in his own country, because the advertisement is an essential part of the total experience of watching a movie. If you buy a $50-$100 movie or video game, how much of the cost is spent in manufacturing, and how much is spent in services? I'm not sure that a modern society needs a lot of manufacturing.
