Badi, You should be able to open an Ameritrade account (any others out there with no/low minimums?)with $1000.00 or less. That will let you buy stocks that fit your model. Not 200 but a few. As others have said, correctly, if you haven't put your real money to work you haven't done as much as you think. I assign two tasks to students; go out and earn $200.00-not from your job, don't just write a check if you have money, but do something that someone will pay you for to earn that $200.00. Collect cans, do chores, wash cars, whatever. Then open your account and invest the money. That's it. I used to have them do simulated portfolios with $10,000.00. They learned almost nothing. The real $200.00 was a game changer. Even students who had millions saw everything differently. It's amazing. Go earn some money and put it to work and tell us what happens. I'm sure everyone here will be rooting for you to do well. ken
