Nice comment and welcome to our merry band of investors and complainers. 8^)

MSFT is one of the few tech stocks I own that is lower now than it was at the 2002 bottom... big reason is the netbook where people are buying small PCs with LINUX to skip paying $50 to Mr Softie.

MSFT software is great for power users but most don't need much spreadsheet stuff and free stuff can often meet their needs.

MSFT will have to evolve to selling software for these netbooks with a license like iTunes loads iPods and iPhones with software, tunes and applications.

I think it has a good jump on this with their xBox games... and will do OK long term... but it won't be the big grower like a Google....

Intel's announcement to sell the ATOM via TSMC... I'm really tempted to buy more Intel .... they are basically seeing the light of open source and are using the ATOM design as open source to let others add it to their chips and pay a royalty to Intel while letting TSMC build it.... (guessing the actual business model)

On that line, is TSMC the Apple iTunes of chip IP?
