Copper Gains on U.S. Construction Demand

New York, Nov. 19 (Bloomberg) -- The following is a summary of commodity markets in the U.S. and U.K.

BASE METALS

In NEW YORK, copper rose to its highest price in 2 1/2 months on signs of greater-than-expected demand for wire and pipes from the U.S. construction industry. Copper for December delivery rose 0.1 cent to 68.3 cents a pound on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, the highest closing price since Aug. 31.
