Ted, > What slays me is that you are unwilling to see the correlation between the current credit crisis and global warming. We consume 25% of the oil in the world in order to fuel our consumption habits, most of which are financed through credit.

So basically you think we consume too much, and that's why we have both a credit crisis and global warming.

We do consume too much.....that's in part why we are having a credit problem. And its reflected throughout our culture. Even are kids are consuming too much....first food and toys, then clothes. For the first time in our history, kids are getting 'adult' diabetes.....due to overeating and lack of exercise.

Anyone knows if you eat too much there are consequences. First your clothes become too tight and you have to buy new ones; eventually you have trouble climbing stairs; your breathing becomes impaired even at rest; further down the road you can't sleep laying down......eventually you become house bound and then in the last stages, bed bound.

The point is over consumption is good for no one....kids, adults, countries.

Perhaps you should be praying for a depression.

Very clever...NOT.
