Wade, Couldn't answer if mutual funds would be better for you or not. That depends on alot. - Your personal knowledge of investing - Your risk profile - Your objectives - Your current portfolio - on and on... ABX, NEM and ASA are a good choices (ABX in my opinion should have a greater weighting. Again depending on your risk profile). Just focus on asking the right questions that will give you relevent answers for your objectives (if your objective is to make money than I would clarify the how part). Cheers, Exsrch
