Jim, I scanned a newspaper article and sent it via e-mail to myself (just to see if it works) and to my four boys, 3 in USA, one in CH. Only one has AOL and he was the ony one who got the empty pages.All the rest got my scanned message clear and well. I complained to AOL and got a fast reply giving instructions on how to overcome the problem at the recieving end. Applied it did not work. More AO instructions from another guy and again it did not work. Only with AOL does this problem apparently exist. Fred
