The normal cost of electricity in Germany is about EUR 0.22/kWH, about USD 0.30/kWh. That's triple the average US price of about USD 0.10/kWh. With cheap PV modules the cost is about EUR 0.20/kWh in Germany without subsidies. I have picked up that large PV installations in Spain and California already reach a price level of EUR 0.08/kWh, about USD 0.12/kWh. Only few years left until photovoltaic power production reaches grid parity in sunny areas of the USA.
