I agree with Cary and Tito(what a surprise!?) that the recent movements in AMAT are based on the anticipation that Sales and Earnings for the Semi-Equips are about to really pick up, and is not evidence that the Momentum players have arrived. Check this chart for an example of a Momentum stock (yes, this is an extreme example) quote.yahoo.com
Also, note that PRST EPS for their most recent quarter were $.18....talk about whacko!!
I think going Short AMAT today or yesterday is very much gambling.
Also, we have to remember, most of the folks on this AMAT thread and the Blood thread were in AMAT way before AMAT was Cool.....Today, owning AMAT appears to be fashionable, so perhaps it is Mutual Fund Buying that is driving the price.
