Oooohhh, you're really gonna love this - Scientific American's December 1999 issue is the "Special End of the Millennium" issue. Saw it in the Washington Post, and confirmed it on the web site. Washington Post writer (in "Style" section) says if it's good enough for Scientific American, it's good enough for them.
