I do not interpret that as slander. He portrayed the Vietnam war as a senseless war, a war where our soldiers had to do things which they would never do under normal circumstances. The people who are against Kerry on the war are the same people who were active with Nixon in defending the war. And we all know how much Nixon carries credibility with the people.
