With todays increased bandwidth and the up and coming VPN's you could acheive the same functionality with a lot less overhead. VPN's are here today. Sounds great. Why don't you call the company and ask them why they made the hardware purchasing decisions that they did, and make your suggestions. Maybe they'll hire you. You apprear to have plenty of free time.
