Capitalizing on previous design wins in all the major satellite services, ST also shipped large quantities of STB chips based on its highly successful ST20 core. To date, more than 5 million units have been shipped to customers around the world, including more than one million of the STi5500 ("OMEGA") fully integrated STB back-end chips. In Europe, over 2 million devices were shipped for Canal+ and BSkyB STB systems.
