That seems a sensible enough determination on the prisoner question. I am glad they continue to exclude terrorist irregulars, which is their clear right under the Geneva Convention. Even the exclusion of the Taliban is possible, since the regime is not continuous in any sense with the regime that had been signatory to the Convention, but establishing a willingness to go tit- for- tat with adversary governments on prisoners is probably a good idea......

I think it is a good thing to acknowledge the decency of our non- believing citizens, certainly in a context calling for tolerance and service to the community......
