I think any individual investor should have Intel in his or her portfolio. But at these prices? It's not much of a buy in my opinion, as it's gone up too far too fast. And if anyone is basing growth projections just on the 3rd quarter, they're eventually going to be hurting.
I think 150 - 200 is definitely do-able, but if the share price was to go to, say, 150 by year-end, we would be sitting on such a bubble that it wouldn't even be funny.
Those who base growth projections on somewhat conservative numbers are thinking things a little more rationally then some here and on the other thread.
Intel is positioned to do very, very well for some time to come, but to say valuations prior to the last few weeks were completely incorrect are establishing themselves to be infinitely smarter than the rest of the market to the nth degree. I've always tried to remember that no matter how smart you think you are, there's a few others out there who are smarter.
