This statement clearly shows your "ignorance" in IC process development
and transfer methodologies. When MegaFlop25 (tm PREngel) was having troubles
with their .35um process, I asked the question whether the equipment was
identical between Sunnyvale and the MegaFlop. The answer from AMD PR was
that the process was the same even though the equipment was different.
Obviously, AMD has a different philosophy and methodology for bringing
up new Fabs. Maybe in the future, AMD will tend to follow Motorolo's
methodology ... since AMD no longer develops their own process.
