I'm sure there are more than a few southern extreme right wingnuts that are hurt, confused, reality challenged and truly in sweaty-palm FEAR now that Obama has become president. I'm sure the idea of a black man being president was just so improbable, they have never even given the concept a thought in their lives. Probably all the aspersions, slights, taunts, curses, perhaps actual abuse, maybe even criminal assault that any of these (R) KKKish "good ol' boys" dealt out to blacks in their lives is rising in their memories. Maybe they're thinking that there might be some consequences now, with a black president. I sure hope so.
