People would vote for "Michael" from the "Halloween" series of movies before they'd vote for Dick Cheney!

Vice President Dick Cheney will not run for the presidency in 2008, his wife, Lynne Cheney said in an interview published on Sunday.

Cheney told Time magazine that she was restating what her husband already had made clear -- that he had no intention of seeking the presidency.

"That's pretty interesting. Wrong, but interesting," Lynne Cheney said, when asked about a recent comment by Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward that the vice president would be the Republican presidential nominee in 2008.

Cheney, 64, has ruled out a run for the White House in 2008, and said he would not run even if President George W. Bush asked him.
